Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book and pay ahead?

Due to the intimate size of the studio, spaces are limited, so participants need to book their spots in advance. If you’d like to join a session at the last minute and online booking has closed, you can attempt to contact Naomi through email or social media messaging to see if a spot is open.

Note she may or may not see your message in time. Please be understanding if your message is missed.

Payment. The offerings at Delta & Sound are intended to be a sacred, safe and elevated experience. Naomi and other facilitators prepare themselves mentally and spiritually in advance to hold space authentically and uninterruptedly. Because of this, the exchange of payment in session can be disruptive and add more “tasks” to the facilitator’s plate than necessary. There are quite a few options by way of payment so please feel free to reach out if online payments are an obstacle for you.

What should I bring?

  • A water bottle

  • Dress comfortably

  • Pillow | blanket | eye mask (comfort items)

We have limited extras for those without

  • Trinkets | crystals | decks

Participants can place their items on the altar space provided for clearing, charging and intention setting.

What do I do when I arrive at a group session?

Doors will be unlocked 10 minutes before group scheduled appointments and locked 1 minute after the sessions start time.

Participants enter, take their shoes off, hang their coats, and find an empty mat on which to place their belongings.

Phones must be turned off or put on airplane mode for the duration of the session.

Participants are encouraged to place their trinkets on the provided altar for clearing and charging.

Take your time to get comfortable with pillows, blankets, bolsters, eye pillows (Extras are provided if needed)

Then what?

Once the session begins, Naomi (or another facilitator) will guide you through each step. At times, specific instruments can activate and elicit big feelings or sensations in the body.

Feel and breathe, remembering that you are completely safe and supported here.

How will sound healing affect me?

"Sound Healing can be defined as the intentional use of sound to create a vibrational environment which becomes a catalyst for healing in the physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual aspects of our being. Sound is a powerful tool because it is vibrational in nature, and we are vibrational beings." - Sunreed School Of Light.

“To heal is to make sound,” says Gong Master Martha Collard of Red Doors Studio. “Sound can shift frequencies from low energy of guilt and fear to higher vibrations of love and joy. Sound healing is the use of sacred instruments or voice to release energetic blockages inducing a state of ease and harmony in the body.” While there are many types of sound therapy, they all produce vibrations that alter your brain waves.

Malbert Lee, a Hong Kong-based Crystal Bowl and Gong Master, says vibrations are especially useful for healing the body. “The adult body is 75% water, and water is a great conductor for sound vibration,” he notes. “When vibrations travel through the body, they promote circulation, energy flow, and rejuvenation. The sound frequency synchronizes with the brainwaves and de-activates distress responses in the body.”

What is the refund policy?

Payments are non-refundable and exchange only.

If you need to reschedule, you must give us 24 hours' notice so that we have enough time to offer your spot to someone else.

Please send notice to connect@deltaandsound.com and not through social media platforms.

(Some exceptions apply)

Late arrival times for private sessions will count toward your booked time slot.

What is the etiquette for group sessions?

Group sessions are a chance for us to come together and heal in community. Because of this, it’s important to consider your own energy in relation to the whole and the integrity that Naomi and other facilitators hold for the group.

Please arrive on time. Doors will be locked 1 minute after your session starts to respect everyone’s time and create a peaceful and regulated environment free from rushing and last-minute disruptions.

Topics of conversation. We encourage everyone to avoid politics and lower-vibration discussions, i.e., gossip, media, and potentially triggering topics, from entering our sacred space. Personal experiences relevant to your intention for healing and release are encouraged.

Journey disruptions. Throughout the journey, participants’ senses are heightened more than usual. Participants experiencing restlessness and big emotions are met with love and compassion. However, we ask that you be mindful of your fellow journeyers, as excessive shifting and disruptive breathing can distract and distract others from their experience. If this might be a challenge for you, a private session is the perfect alternative.

Snoring. It happens to the best of us. Sound Healing Meditations can drop you into different brain waves. Alpha - “Spacey and dreamy states, Theta - Subconscious creativity and deep relaxation and then Delta (also my middle name, hence the studio's name) This brain wave is the deep unconscious, intuition and insight. In this place, our body acts as if it is asleep, and deep relaxation can affect our airways. If you do reach this state, we celebrate your achievement, but I may need to come to tap you on the shoulder to cue you to roll onto your side so as not to disturb your fellow travellers.

End of session. Each Group Session has a set beginning and ending time. Naomi works diligently to maintain a balance between her offerings at the studio and her family. Please be mindful of her time after the session. She does her best to leave plenty of time for sharing and integration after each session, but if you’d like a more personal experience, please book a private session.
